The Cube DNA-MIL: Rugged Data Acquisition System for Military and Aerospace

The Cube DNA-MIL is a compact 6.2″ x 7.1″ x 8.7″ data acquisition and I/O platform designed for military and aerospace applications. It complies with MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 standards, including all power requirements. Furthermore, it supports a wide variety of inputs, sensors, and I/O interfaces.

With its rugged chassis, the DNA-MIL can function as a standalone I/O controller or be integrated into larger systems. It is engineered for high-density, multifunction data acquisition applications and features an advanced architecture. This design provides a simple, universal software API, making it easy to build, expand, or reconfigure I/O board-based systems.

The DNA-MIL is 100% COTS-based and supports over 50 analog, digital, and interface I/O boards. These include ARINC-429, MIL-1553, CAN, RVDT/LVDT, synchro, RS-232/422/485, strain gauge, quadrature encoder, and high-voltage analog outputs (up to 115 VDC).

It also supports Simulink models for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and rapid prototyping, allowing users to monitor and tune systems remotely. For integration with PLCs and SCADA systems, the DNA-MIL is compatible with Modbus/TCP. All I/O connections use robust 38999 round connectors, ensuring reliability.

The DNA-MIL is compatible with popular MIL-hardened operating systems and programming languages, such as Linux, VxWorks, and QNX, all of which have C/C++ drivers. It also works seamlessly with software packages like LabVIEW, MATLAB, and Simulink. Additionally, a built-in test and self-diagnostic function ensures reliable performance and operational confidence.

More than 40 cards are available for the different DNA, DNR and DNF versions, which are identical in functionality and electrical characteristics.
