The Cube DNA-MIL, is a military/aeronautical data acquisition system and I/O platform housed in a compact 6.2″ x 7.1″ x 8.7″ chassis. The DNA-MIL is designed to meet MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 standards (including all power requirements), and supports virtually any type of input, any type of sensor, any type of I/O interface.

The rugged chassis is easily configured as a standalone or integrated I/O controller, programmed and ruggedized for integration with high-density multifunction data acquisition systems. Its highly advanced architecture provides users with a simple and universal software API to build, add, and reconfigure I/O board-based applications.

The DNA-MIL platform is 100% COTS-based and is supported by the UEI family of over 50 compatible analog, digital, and interface I/O boards, including ARINC-429, MIL-1553, CAN , RVDT/LVDT, synchro/232/422/485, strain gauge, quadrature encoder, high voltage analog outputs (up to 115 Vdc) etc.

It can also run Simulink models for hardware-in-loop (HIL) testing and rapid prototyping, while users monitor and tune remotely. For interoperability with PLCs and SCADA systems, the DNA-MIL is also Modbus/TCP compatible. All I/O connections to this MIL-grade DAQ chassis are made through round type 38999 connectors.

The DNA-MIL supports all popular, MIL-hardened operating systems and programming languages, including Linux, VxWorks, QNX (all with C/C++ drivers) as well as a wide range of software packages. applications, including LabVIEW, MATLAB, and Simulink. The DNA-MIL also has a built-in test and self-diagnosis function to verify operational status and worry-free reliability.

More than 40 cards are available for the different DNA, DNR and DNF versions, which are identical in functionality and electrical characteristics.
